Google Workspace

Google has revealed that it will raise the price of its Workspace suite of productivity and collaboration tools and introduce new features and changes to the platform. The modifications are slated to go into action in April 2022.
All Google Workspace plans, such as Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, and Enterprise Plus, will be subject to a price hike. Depending on the Plan, the precise increase will vary, but according to Google, it will generally be around 10%.

By emphasizing the new features and functionalities, Google has justified the price rise. The user interface can be customized, collaboration and sharing tools have been enhanced, and third-party applications can be better integrated.

Plans:

For years, Google has provided two payment options for the lower levels of Workspace Business.

Flexible Plan: “You may add or delete accounts whenever you want, and you only pay for the charges you have active during the current month. Service cancellations are free at any moment.
Annual Plan: “If your company expands, you can buy additional licenses, but your monthly fee will increase. Only when renewing your Plan after the contract will you be able to lower license fees or monthly payments? You still make the total commitment even if you cancel your subscription before the term ends.

Workspace Individual:

Workspace Individual is a brand-new subscription plan that Google is launching allowing people to choose from. It offers features like personalized email addresses, video meetings, and sophisticated security and management controls for personal or small business reasons. The monthly fee for Workspace Individual is $9.99.

Google is also introducing new methods for businesses to manage and implement Workspace, pricing adjustments, and new features. This includes new options for deploying and configuring apps and settings across a company and a new management console that makes it simpler to handle users and devices.

The expense per user per month for both plans was the same for Business Starter ($6), Business Standard ($12), and Business Plus ($18), regardless of how you paid. Flexible Plans are now increasing in price to $7.20, $14.40, and $21.60, correspondingly.

As of March 14, you won’t need to talk with a “Google Sales representative” to purchase the Annual Plan. The Admin Console also allows existing Flexible Plan users to switch to the Annual Plan. Although pricing is still only accessible through sales, Google is also increasing the price of Google Workspace Enterprise Standard. There are “no list price changes” for the other Enterprise editions, including educational upgrades.
“Some local currency pricing,” claims Google, is being changed. In order to maintain alignment with the exchange rates to the US dollar, the business says it evaluates this on a regular basis.

Conclusion

And lastly, price hikes for existing clients will start next month and go on until 2024, depending on factors that include the number of user licenses, current contract terms, and payment plan.
